A calmer home for your bookings
We rebuilt the Bookings view around a simple idea: the answer to "what's on my plate?" should never take more than one click. Here's how the new tabs and filters got there.
If you use Cal for anything more than the occasional coffee chat, your booking list stops being a list and starts being a workload. You want to know what's coming up this week. You want to double-check whether that intro call actually went through. You want to see, at a glance, how many sessions you ran last month. One flat, chronological feed can't answer any of those questions well.
So we stopped trying to make one view do everything.
Four questions, four tabs
The redesigned Bookings section splits your schedule into the four states that actually matter: Upcoming, Past, Pending, and Cancelled View Your Bookings. Each tab is a different question you're asking yourself.
Upcoming is the default because it's the one you open the app to check. Past is where you go when you need to remember what happened — reconciling invoices, writing follow-ups, or just counting your week. Pending surfaces the bookings that need a decision before they become real. Cancelled keeps a paper trail without cluttering everything else.
The split sounds obvious in retrospect, and that's the point. Most of the "where did my booking go?" support threads we saw came down to a cancelled or pending booking hiding inside a single undifferentiated list. Separating the states makes the answer visible instead of searchable.
Filters for the long tail
Tabs handle the common cases. For everything else, there's a filter menu with a date range picker View Your Bookings — the tool you want when a client asks for every session from Q2, or when you're pulling numbers for a quarterly review. It's a small addition, but it turns the Bookings page from a feed into something closer to a report you can actually query.
We kept the interaction deliberately keyboard-friendly: Escape closes the picker so you can dismiss it without reaching for the mouse View Your Bookings. Small thing. Adds up.
What's next
This release is the foundation, not the finish line. The tab structure gives us a clean place to hang the things people keep asking for — richer filters, saved views, exports that respect the filter you're currently looking at.
